ARE THE DUCKS TAMED?
No! When the ducks are 4-5 weeks old, we take them to a protected release site and RELEASE them. They are free to fly into and out of the release site anytime they want to. They are not conditioned to fly to one or two ponds.
DO THE DUCKS ACT LIKE OTHER WILD DUCKS?
Yes! These ducks fly high and respond to calling and decoys like any other duck.
DO I NEED A DOG, DECOYS, OR BE ABLE TO CALL?
Yes! However, we can provide all or some of these for you at no charge.
IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT ON YOUNG HUNTERS?
No. This is a family owned and operated preserve. Hunters are encouraged to bring their spouses and children.
WILL I BE IN A BLIND BY MYSELF?
No. A guide will be with you. Also, if your group does not have at least 3 hunters, you MAY be in a blind with another hunter(s).
WHY WOULD I WANT TO LEASE A BLIND?
The ducks are less expensive and you are guaranteed to have a blind by yourself (with guide) for every hunt you reserve.
WHAT DAYS DO YOU DUCK HUNT?
Normally, we duck hunt on every Saturday morning from October through March. However, we may hunt some during the week, if possible.
IF I LEASE A BLIND, CAN I MAKE MONTHLY PAYMENTS? Yes, We would require 25% down, with the balance due by December 31st.
CAN I CHANGE A RESERVATION?
Yes. However, any new reservations are subject to availablility.
DO YOU HAVE LODGING?
No. However, we do have places to set up a camper and nice hotels are only 30 minutes away.
